Second Chance to be at the National Place for Women Awarded Companies



Women exporters operating in the handloom sub-sector, that have been given Millennium Award, by the President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia on the 27th of February 2008, were back to the Presidential Palace, March 13th, 2008.

The particular event at the National palace was organized so that the President can see the product samples of the companies that were produced for export.

Following that, Nigest Haile, Executive Director of CAWEE & organizer of the award event, explaining to the President, on the marketing promotional materials prepared to promote the export sells of the companies, which included – canvases, Fasil Kit ( group promotional kit), company broachers, buyers kit, logo, product tags, labels, etc.

At the National Palace, the awarded companies presented a gift to the president, wall hanging, hand woven, very royal & classic type.

A great achievement of this particular visit was that the President highly appreciated the product samples and in his remarks encouraged other women to follow the paths of those awarded companies. More over the President was very much willing to put & keep the canvass at the main Salon of the National Palace, which is a great opportunity for the companies to be further promoted at that level. The canvass shows the product samples of the companies and provides brief profile of each of the companies awarded.
