Build the supply capacity and brand image of African products

Following the delivery of national export training workshops for businesswomen in Africa and in an attempt to broadly build consumer recognition of high quality African-manufactured products, the ACCESS! programme will launch in 2012 a number of brand development activities to promote the brand identity within the purchasing markets. Institutional and private sector partners will assist women exporters to develop and improve the quality of products in selected sectors, such as home decorative items, textile, handicrafts, leather and horticulture, under specific market development and networking initiatives.

    Networking initiatives

Establishing contacts with foreign buyers, ensuring new or growing exporters to fulfilling the orders is indeed one of our prime objectives. In order to reach this ambitious target, it is envisaged that sector-specific international Trade Missions or Trade Fairs participation be organized for qualified ACCESS! graduates across Africa. ACCESS! Trade Events will be supported in partnership with host institutions in the destination such as in South Africa, Canada and the EU to maximize our impact and to facilitate new commercial contacts with foreign buyers.
